"I believe that not only must we do our best, but we must be the best at
everything we do."
Dan Hendrix, Interface President and Chief Executive Officer
This philosophy of achievement through excellence is at the heart of
Interface's past and future success. And with the challenge to become not only
"the first name in commercial and institutional interiors worldwide," but also
a sustainable corporation by 2020, Interface has a lot of hard work ahead.
Innovative products such as Sabi resilient textile flooring by InterfaceFLOR
Commercial and Terratex® office panel and upholstery products by
InterfaceFABRIC evidence Interface's commitment to achieving sustainability
without sacrificing the quality or performance of its products. Sabi, a Gold
Award winner at NeoCon 2001, features Solutia™ Ultron® ReNew high
post-industrial recycled content nylon 6,6 face fiber and GlasBac® RE as the
standard backing. The total product recycled content for Sabi is 51% (29%
post-industrial and 22% post-consumer). Terratex fabrics are made 100% from
post consumer or post industrial material utilizing increasingly sustainable
manufacturing processes to produce a high quality product that is recyclable at
the end of its useful life.
In addition, programs such as QUEST, which utilizes employee suggestions to
improve the efficiencies of manufacturing and office procedures to reduce
waste, have increased profitability while substantially decreasing Interface's
impact on the environment.
Through strategic business initiatives and practical progression toward the
achievement of sustainability, Interface will become the foremost name in our
industry and prove that environmental responsibility makes good business sense.
